My camera is FULL of photos of flood books. In fact, on my way home from work today, I realised I hadn't taken any NON-flood book photos since Tuesday morning. So I took a photo of the nearest thing of interest. This is Holyrood Palace, with marquees set up for the garden party.

74/365

Oh dear Lord, MORE flood books. This has been my week.

73/365

We were on the way to deal with MORE flood books, and were stuck behind this van in traffic.

There was a small flood in the building next door to us today - conservators to the rescue! It is very important to dry wet books out as quickly as possible to prevent them from getting mouldy.

Magnus took me out for a late lunch on Friday to Wannaburger on the Royal Milke, and we sat outside in the sun. This was an AMAZING halloumi burger.

70/365

I left my camera charger at work this weekend, so I didn't manage to get photos from Saturday or Sunday (we didn't do anything but watch movies, play Guitar Hero, and eat tasty food anyways!) So here are a couple of extra photos from Friday. This is another funny thing from the exhibition - a Star Trek Fanzine from the 80's.

Today I helped set up our summer exhibition, and this little jewel is one of the books going into it. Oh, how I laughed!

My iPod playing Van Occupanther by Midlake. This is an excellent excellent album.

We had another day off today. It was warm and sunny, so we played tourists and walked up the Royal Mile and had ice cream in Princes Street Gardens. Unfortunately, Magnus trimmed his beard this morning, and he no longer looks like a mountain man - *sigh*

64/365

This is a poster for the exhibition I worked by butt off on the other week. It's very good, and everyone should go!

63/365

We went round to Emma's on Saturday night - she made pizza for 11 people! This is the crazy wall in her lounge. The rest of the photos from the party are too boozy to post here!

Magnus and I both had today off. We decided to go for a pint at the Brass Monkey this afternoon, only to find they were showing 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' on their movie screen. So of course we had to stay for the movie and more beer! This is the cool wall in their movie room.

Lovely evening! The sun coming through the flowers behind our flat tonight.

Sitting in the park reading and listening to music with Magnus was all I was able to manage yesterday with my cold.

Last night was our monthly pub group for conservators in Edinburgh. We're so lucky to have such a nice, friendly, supportive group here, and many of us are good friends as well as colleagues.

Now, I'm usually not too bothered with the Royal Family, but it's always exciting when they move into the neighbourhood each year about this time. That's HRH Prince Charles in the centre wearing the kilt. Other photos are here.

The light was so pretty on the Crags walking home from dinner last night with Magnus' family. Man, this is a beautiful city.

48/365

Getting dressed for the exhibition opening on Friday night. I worked my butt off last week on this exhibition, so it was nice being able to step back, look pretty, and drink free wine.

Amen!
