Magnus and I are staying at his sister's lovely flat in Newington while we get our kitchen done. Rather than mess up her impeccable kitchen (she's trying to sell too), we ate out tonight at Kalpna, a famous Edinburgh vegetarian Indian restaurant. It was possibly the best meal we've had for a very long time. This is the cool mosaic peacock in the dining room.

After reading the first part of your description, I thought this picture was Magnus's sister's apartment!! It makes much more sense after reading the entire thing. :P
